Consent and Opt-In Flow

Stay Out uses separate flows for security verification and optional reminder messaging.

1. Account Verification (Transactional)

Users enter their phone number to receive a one-time verification code for sign-in.

2. Reminder Messages (Optional)

Users can optionally enable SMS reminders in onboarding/settings. This toggle is off by default.

Users can continue to use the app without enabling reminder SMS.

Displayed reminder disclosure

I agree to receive recurring automated SMS reminder texts from Stay Out. Consent is not required to use the app. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.

Consent is never purchased or obtained from third parties. Messages are sent only to users who directly provide their own number and choose their own settings.
